When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. We use passwordless authentication (magic links), so we do not store passwords.

Dog and Health Data

Information you provide about your dogs, including names, breeds, dates of birth, weight records, medication details, feeding schedules, behaviour episodes, and veterinary information.

Video and Media

Videos and images you upload for AI behaviour analysis. These are processed by our AI systems and stored securely.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use our services, including pages visited, features used, device information, IP addresses, and browser type. We use PostHog for product analytics.

Communication Data

If you contact us, we retain the correspondence to help resolve your query.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

• Providing our services: To operate your account, process video analyses, track health data, and deliver the features you use. (Legal basis: contract performance)
• Improving our services: To understand how our services are used and to improve our AI models using anonymised, aggregated data. (Legal basis: legitimate interest)
• Communication: To send you authentication links, service notifications, and, where you have opted in, product updates. (Legal basis: contract performance / consent)
• Safety and security: To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents. (Legal basis: legitimate interest)
• Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations. (Legal basis: legal obligation)

4. AI Processing

When you use our video analysis features, your videos are processed using third-party AI services (currently Google Gemini). Videos are transmitted securely to these services for analysis and are not retained by the third-party provider beyond the processing period.

We may use anonymised and aggregated insights from analyses to improve our AI models. Individual videos are not used for model training without your explicit consent.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and AI processing. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
• Behaviourist sharing: If you link your account to a behaviourist through our platform, they will have access to your dog's behaviour data and reports as part of the service.
• Family sharing: If you use family sharing features, other members of your family group will have access to shared dog and health data.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Uploaded videos are retained for the duration of your account. You may delete individual videos at any time through the application.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions, in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
